Living in the Danger Zones Podcast was created with several ideas in mind to help answer questions about the Windstorm Process in Texas to obtain WPI-8/WPI-8E certificates for Insurance and property finance loan requirements.

1.) First and above all to help educate & guide Residential & Business Owners who reside or want to reside or own a property in Texas Windstorm Counties to help prevent costly mistakes on their own and help them to make the right common sense choices in obtaining the required documentation that their Private Insurance Companies and/or TWIA need to provide coverage as well as windstorm documentation for Finance Companies who may need to approve purchase loans for properties.(Provide a list of many legitimate windstorm contractors as well as how to hire their own AQI Engineer/Inspector to obtain a WPI-8 or WPI-8E from the Texas Dept of Insurance (TDI)..certain membership applies)

2.) Provide in house or onsite training workshops for Real Estate Associations or Agencies & their staff on how the POST construction inspection process works and can help them get the documentation needed to get an actual close date possible..

3.) Provide training workshops for Construction Businesses located in Non-Windstorm or Windstorm counties such as Roofing, Siding, Solar, Window & Door companies to name a few for their crews/installers that want to expand their business in Windstorm Counties but don't know the current codes or requirements of how to properly apply their cladding products per the updated codes and train their in house staff on how the windstorm process works and how windstorm can positively affect their business workflow.

Through my extensive professional experiences over the past 40 years I have at one time or the other obtained and held various Texas State licenses that have helped me gain the experience & knowledge as an Expert Windstorm Consultant.

For many years I worked as a custom home builder(approx. 25 yrs), worked for the State of Texas (TDI) as a Windstorm Inspector, Held a certification as an ICC Coastal & Floodplain Construction Inspector, Held a TREC license as a Professional Home Inspector, Held a Texas license as an Insurance Adjuster (All Lines), Since Harvey hit I have and still work as an expert Windstorm consultant on the WPI-8/WPI-8E Certification process and work as an independent windstorm inspector on behalf of State of Texas AQI Engineer(s) that follow the current 2024 IRC/IBC codes as well as an independent consultant for Structural Engineers anywhere in Texas.
